Unrelenting Heatwave Grips Punjab, Temperatures Soar Above 50°C

The intense heatwave conditions continue to persist in Punjab, with numerous districts recording temperatures exceeding the scorching 50 degrees Celsius mark for the fourth consecutive day. The residents of Dadu, Nawabshah, Larkana, and Mohenjo Daro have been grappling with severe distress as the mercury levels soar to unprecedented levels.

Punjab has also been severely impacted by the relentless heatwave, with major cities experiencing alarmingly high temperatures. Sahiwal and Bahawalpur both registered a staggering 47 degrees Celsius, while Lahore and Faisalabad recorded maximum temperatures of 45°C and 46°C, respectively.

The prolonged exposure to these extreme temperatures has led to an influx of patients in hospitals, with many suffering from heat-related illnesses and other seasonal disorders.

According to the forecast from the Meteorological Office, some regions of Punjab may experience rainfall and strong winds in the coming days, potentially providing much-needed relief from the intense heatwave conditions.
