Punjab Declares Election Break for Educational Institutions

In preparation for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8th, Punjab’s Provincial Cabinet has sanctioned a hiatus for both public and private educational institutions. Mohsin Naqvi, acting as Punjab’s Chief Minister, conveyed that all schools, colleges, and universities across the province will remain closed from February 6th to February 9th.

Speaking about the scheduling adjustments, Naqvi stated, “The regular class schedule will be followed until February 3rd, with classes starting at 9:30 am.” He assured, “Thereafter, we will resume normal school hours.”

The announcement was disseminated through the social media platform X, underscoring the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth electoral process while accommodating educational needs.
