Peshawar, Pakistan – The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has implemented an online system for issuing certificates of residence to improve convenience for citizens living in different districts of the province.
Citizens can now apply for domicile through the recently launched e-domicile system by visiting the website cfc.kp.gov.pk on computer or mobile and attaching required documents.
NADRA will collect the applicant’s biometrics, ensuring the citizen’s data is securely held by the government.

This online service spares residents major traveling expenses and removes the need to go through long queues in offices. It also provides the government access to comprehensive citizen data through village and neighborhood councils.
Citizens have praised the ease of obtaining residence certificates without the hassle of physically visiting offices.
The government also intends to open facilitation centers in different areas to aid the illiterate in understanding how to apply for e-domicile.
After being introduced at divisional headquarters, the online domicile system will be gradually expanded to all districts of the province, with the aim to completely replace the previous manual issuing system within a fortnight.
