Ramadan Gas and Power Supply Schedule Announced in Sindh, Baluchistan

KARACHI (Daily Tribune News Desk) – With the holy month of Ramadan less than a week away, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has unveiled its gas supply schedule for consumers in Sindh and Balochistan provinces during the fasting period.

In a statement released on Thursday, the state-owned gas utility said it will provide gas supply to residential and commercial consumers only during specific time slots to meet their essential needs for Sehri and Iftar.

“Gas will be available from 3:00 am to 9:00 am for Sehri and from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm for Iftar,” the SSGC announcement said, adding that consumers in its operational areas will have access to gas for a total of 13 hours daily during Ramadan.

The company, however, warned that the gas supply timings could be affected by load-shedding during the holy month.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has directed electricity distribution companies to avoid power outages during Sehri and Iftar timings across the province.

The instructions came during a meeting chaired by the chief minister to discuss price control measures for Ramadan. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, the chief secretary, and the inspector general of police.

According to a spokesperson, CM Shah emphasized the importance of uninterrupted electricity supply and explicitly instructed K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO to ensure stable power supply throughout Sindh during the fasting period.
