Islamabad, Pakistan – A severe and intense cold wave is expected to grip large parts of the country starting tomorrow, according to private weather forecaster Weather Updates PK.
The arrival of frigid Siberian winds and the peak of winter from Karachi to Kashmir over the coming days has been predicted by the weather forecasting firm.The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had said that most upper and western parts of the country were likely to have cold and cloudy weather yesterday. Temperatures are expected to drastically drop in the northern areas, per the PMD.

Additionally, the Met Department has forecast chances of snowfall over the hills and rains in western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Balochistan.Moreover, light rain is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during evening/night. However, dense fog is likely in plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.
