LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi on February 16 formally inaugurated the Ring Road Southern Loop 3 and lauded the pace of the project’s development.
According to details, the over PKR 16.5 billion project will not only benefit residents of various housing societies situated along its route but also have an overall positive impact on Lahore.
During the inaugural ceremony, CM Naqvi appreciated the construction and communication departments for the swift execution of the project. The Ring Road Southern Loop 3 has two interchanges, and the Band Road stretch is expected to open for traffic starting tomorrow.

The CM highlighted that the new highway stretches would help ease traffic congestion and boost connectivity in Lahore. He directed relevant authorities to ensure timely completion of the remaining portions of the loop as per the stipulated timeline.
The inauguration indicates progress on the government’s agenda to enhance transportation infrastructure in Punjab. Analysts say improved road connectivity can act as a catalyst for economic growth.
