ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced it will build pedestrian bridges at three locations in Islamabad to improve public facilities.
The bridges will be constructed over Srinagar Highway to enhance pedestrian safety and reduce traffic accidents, CDA officials stated.
To facilitate installation of one of the three bridges, traffic will be completely stopped at Srinagar Highway, Metro Bus Station, and Sector G-7/4, as per a CDA press release. Meanwhile, Islamabad Traffic Police has been directed to immediately create alternative routes for people’s convenience.

CDA has urged citizens to cooperate fully with ITP to avoid any untoward situation during construction.
Earlier, Minister for Interior Dr. Gohar Ejaz had directed the Islamabad administration to initiate low-cost markets across the city for public welfare. The minister emphasized that district administration and police must facilitate a peaceful and satisfactory living standard for Islamabad residents.
