This year, Shab-e-Meraj falls on February 7, 2024, with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India marking the occasion on the same day. The Arab world will also commence its observance on the evening of February 7, 2024.

For Pakistanis, Shab-e-Meraj holds deep spiritual and devotional significance. It is a time for reflection, prayer, and recitation of the Holy Quran, as individuals seek to strengthen their connection with their faith.

During this occasion, Muslims contemplate the remarkable journey of Prophet Muhammad and seek guidance from Allah.

While Shab-e-Meraj is an optional holiday, Pakistani employment and holiday regulations allow workers to choose a limited number of holidays from an optional list. While most workplaces and businesses remain open, some employees may opt to take the day off to observe the occasion.
